7'0" | 6 - 12lb | 1/4 - 5/8 oz
When you're looking for something with a little more finesse, the 6-12lb Gulf Spinning Rods are just the ticket. Whether you're flipping shrimp under the mangroves or working the lily pads at your favorite bass pond, this lighter and more responsive blank allows you to feel every bump, bite or nibble. Suitable for Fresh or Saltwater species. This rod matches well with a Van Staal VR50 or Shimano 2000 size reel.
7'0" | 10 - 17lb | 3/8 - 1 oz
This blank matches well with a Van Staal VR50 or Shimano 3,000 size reel. This pairing gives the combo adequate line capacity while retaining a balanced ultralight feel. Effortlessly launch anything from soft plastics and jigs to live baits with impressive accuracy. The perfect one-piece 7'0" spinning rod for a day on the water - lightweight with a comfortable feel, its sensitive with the power to wrestle aggressive species.
7'0" | 15 - 25lb | 1 - 1 1/2 oz
Our flagship inshore "Big Fish" stick. Paired with a Van Staal VR50/VS100 range reel or 4-6,000 Shimano, this beefier blank will provide anglers with plenty of backbone and stopping power to horse stubborn species away from structure. Proven hugely popular with the artificial lure crowd, this rod performs especially well with heavier offerings such as Topwater Plugs, Flair Hawk Jigs, and Spoolteks. If live bait is more your style, prepare to elevate your game. Big white baits won't bog this blank down … The responsive 7'0" hand-rolled rod provides anglers with the best of both worlds: short enough to handle precision casts deep into the mangroves or under docks, yet long enough to deliver a precision distance cast to spooky snook or rolling tarpon that were previously out of range.
Looks excellent, very well made!
Have not used the rod as my water temperature is 40F. My season starts about April 15th.
Fitted the rods up with Van Staal VR series reels and by far the best spinning rods rods I have thrown. Cant wait for Tarpon Season.
